Currituck County Sheriff Deputies arrested Roscoe Robert Justice, Jr., 32, of Knapp Court in Currituck on November 1, 2023. Justice is charged under NCGS § 14-27.23 Statutory rape of a child by an adult. The statute says, “A person is guilty of statutory rape of a child by an adult if the person is at least 18 years of age and engages in vaginal intercourse with a victim who is a child under the age of 13 years.

Justice was arrested on March 3, 2020, and charged with driving while impaired and speeding, and again in November 2021 and charged with resisting a public officer and domestic criminal trespass.

He is currently being held at the Currituck Detention Center.
