Then there’s Officers Smith and Liebengood, who took their own lives days later, and two Metro cops, Hashida and DeFreytag, who did the same months after—tragedies tied to the fallout, not the fight. No one died by a rioter’s hand on January 6. The ‘insurrection’ body count? Zero from direct violence. Spin it how you want, but those are the facts.
