We’re back and energized after an incredible 38-day trip out West. We have some exciting content on the horizon, including a comprehensive report that will conclude our investigation into the conspiracy to censure Commissioner Paul Beaumont. This report will clearly outline the players, motives, and actions of various commissioners and county staff who unjustly targeted Beaumont’s character.
But wait, there’s more. As we prepare to release the video of my February 15, 2024, exchange with Currituck’s County Attorney, we’ll be posting several videos showcasing the press engaging public officials with tough questions they’d prefer not to answer. The First Amendment guarantees Freedom of the Press, and any attempts to stifle it clearly violate Constitutional rights. The U.S. Supreme Court has consistently upheld that any form of prior restraint against the press is “presumably unconstitutional.” On February 16, 2024, the county barred me from reporting at the county seat and denied my written request for due process, another right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
In today’s video, a reporter attempts to question U.S. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, who clearly does not want to respond. Notice how the reporter persistently asks questions, highlighting both the inquiries and the official’s refusal to answer. This practice reflects the principles of Ethics in Journalism, ensuring the public is informed.
