Who am I: My name is Emily Castelow and I am running to be your next Register of Deeds. My husband, David and I have lived in Currituck County since he got out of the United States Marine Corps.I have worked in the Register of Deeds office for 24 years and am currently an Assistant Register of Deeds. David is a Captain with the Sheriff’s Office and has been with them since 1996. We have 2 children, Kristen has her elementary education degree from UNC-Pembroke and Ashley has her Social Work degree from Appalachian State University.
Why am I running:
I obtained my Basic Certification in 2013, my Advanced Certification in 2015 and I am involved in all day to day operations.
I feel that my decisive, strong and trustworthy leadership will lead the office into the future.
My top 3 priorities are:
I will develop and maintain strong working relationships with county departments to better serve the citizens of Currituck County.
I will ensure that staff are up to date of all training.
I will make sure that we have the best and most comprehensive technology available to us to keep your records secure.
Will I fight to achieve them?
Yes, I will work diligently to obtain these goals.
