Blackwater Reports Inc. maintains a neutral stance and will neither endorse nor oppose any candidate for political office. Questions posed to political candidates will be uniform and consistent across all individuals running for the same political position.

BlackwaterReports asked:
- Who are you, and why are you running?
- What are your top three priorities?
- Will you commit to your voters that you will fight for your priorities?
These are Mike Hall’s unedited responses:
Hi, I’m Mike Hall, I am running for Currituck County Commissioner (At Large Seat)
I have lived in Currituck County for 23 years with my family and in the surrounding area for over 50 years. My work experience as a retired law enforcement supervisor, retired corporate security director, serving on multiple county volunteer boards, a one term county commissioner, and six years at the Collage of the Albemarle as a Board of Trustees’. My work experience in both the private and public workplace has involved leadership, budgets, design, and growth. I have navigated the complexities of the corporate and political structures along with the hiring, training, retaining, and promoting employees.
Our residential growth has outpaced our available services, and the catch-up is causing our taxes and other fees to spiral up at near hurricane levels. I will not kick the can down the road and will work to get Currituck back to a balanced growth VS spending account.
- Attract and Promote Businesses
- Responsible Residential Development
- Conservative Managed Spending
I promise and commit to the voters that I will fight for the priorities I have listed because I believe that by encouraging citizen involvement we can succeed together.
