On January 27, 2024, at approximately 8:25 pm, Deputies in the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Colington Road near Billy’s Seafood.   During the stop, a K-9 was deployed and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance.  During the search of the vehicle, an amount of Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized.  When they arrived at the jail, a more detailed search of the driver was conducted, and an amount of Cocaine and Psilocybin Mushrooms were located and seized.   Alexis Chase Pashkow, F/29, Kitty Hawk, NC, was arrested and charged with (F) 2X Possession of Cocaine, (F) PWISD Cocaine, (F) Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, (F) Possession of Controlled Substance on Jail Premises and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Pashkow is being held on a 48-hour hold due to being out on pretrial release already.  Kill Devil Hills Police Department assisted with their K-9 during the stop.

On January 27, 2024, at approximately 4:26 am, Deputies in the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Hwy 12 near the Whalebone Intersection, Nags Head, NC. The vehicle had been in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Rodanthe, NC, and left the scene. During the stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle.  During the search, an amount of Marijuana edibles and Suboxone were located and seized.  Karrie Christine Barnes, F/35, Camden, NC, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and (M) Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance.  Barnes was given a $4,000 secured bond.  Nags Head Police Department assisted with the incident.
