On October 7^th, the world witnessed an unprovoked and brutal attack against Israel. Hamas is a terrorist group with intentions to erase the existence of Jewish people. I fully support Israel’s right to exist and defend itself.

The Committee on Ways and Means held a hearing to discuss a noticeable spike in antisemitism throughout the country and especially prevalent on elite college campuses. A student from Cornell gave heartbreaking testimony expressing her fear of being attacked based on her faith. She reminded us she was supposed to be in class, but instead she is in Washington advocating to protect the Jewish community’s safety to attend class.

While Israel is battling the war against Hamas, the Jewish people are battling acts of violence and extreme antisemitism right here in the United States. It is crucial we stand in solidarity with our ally and investigate these fraudulent charities funding the mission of a terrorist organization.
