Allegedly, Currituck County has a policy of removing roosters from their flock and deporting the poultry (preferred pronoun) across the borders of surrounding counties.

BlackwaterReports.org is taking a look at this. We think this ordinance has been around for years. But our concern is the deportation issue where roosters are removed from coops against their will to Dare, Camden, and Pasquotank counties, often in front of their hen and peeps. We firmly believe rooster lives matter, and open chicken wire between surrounding counties must come to Currituck. Second, not since China 🇨🇳 limited human births to one per family, have we seen limits on hatchlings. Currently, in Currituck, cattle and equine are free to assemble in large numbers free of limitations or calls for deportation. Change must come to Currituck, allowing chickens 🐔 and roosters to live range-free where they choose. Chairman of the Board, “Tear down these chicken wires, and set your roosters free.”
