IN A POST ON HIS INSTAGRAM, Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher shared that the former lead trial counsel (prosecutor) in his Court Martial Trial has been hired by Law Firm Hanzel in Charleston, South Carolina. Chris Czaplak was relieved as lead counsel for spying on the defense. We contacted Hanzel for comment and will update this report should they respond.

In the meantime, we wondered what became of the many failed Navy JAG proceedings during that period (abt. 2019) that gained the direct attention of then-President Donald Trump. The Chief of Naval Operations ordered a comprehensive review of the JAG Corps. The 274-page report is below. We’re contacting the Department of the Navy to see how many of the recommendations have been implemented.
